Beowulf Has a U.S. Patent Pending for QUICKOM Communication Technology

Beowulf Has a U.S. Patent Pending for QUICKOM Communication Technology

SINGAPORE, August 2, 2019 – Beowulf, a full-service B2B telecommunications company, announced that a U.S. patent is pending on its QUICKOM inbound communication system.

The QUICKOM concept, which aims to overhaul cumbersome phone numbers and replace them with QR codes for privacy and connectivity purposes, was pioneered by Beowulf founder Dr. William H. Nguyen. Dr. Nguyen sees patent approval as the perfect launchpad for the tech, which could be utilized by call centers throughout the world.

QUICKOM uses QR code technology to enable customers to contact businesses, with 100% privacy and flexibility. All they have to do is scan the company’s QR code with the camera on their smartphone, with no special software required. Businesses can have different QR codes for different departments on their website or social platforms, making all communication traceable and secure.

Consumers can also use QR codes to avoid advertisements, setting their desired conditions such as expiration dates and one-time validity. As a result, they are able to control and anonymize all inbound communications. This prevents customer phone numbers from ending up on web directories because they no longer possess a permanent number that can be exploited.

Buoyed by filing a patent on his QR code solution for customizable communication, Dr. Nguyen is confident that broad industry adoption will follow, stating: “Privacy is a truly universal value, so the potential for widespread adoption of QUICKOM is huge. With a patent now pending in the U.S., we should soon be able to take the solution worldwide, helping companies and individuals better organize workflows and immunize themselves against harassment from cold callers.”

“QUICKOM represents a monumental leap forward in corporate and personal communication in the digital age. Our aim is to deliver smart communication that’s both efficient and affordable, and we believe the patent will validate the innovation this technology presents. It’s also a key milestone in safeguarding our intellectual property, as we seek to turn QUICKOM into the go-to choice for individuals and companies the world over.”

Among its many services, Beowulf helps companies add real-time communication capabilities such as voice/video, messaging, video conference calls, and the QUICKOM system to their existing applications, with zero entry barriers and low operation cost.
